Introducing Flashcards: Turn Any Course into a Smart Study Deck

Flashcards learnings

We're excited to introduce Flashcards, a new app that turns any course into a smart study deck. Instructors build decks, learners drill them with spaced repetition right in the drawer, and every card resurfaces at the moment it is about to be forgotten.

Reading a lesson once is rarely enough to make it stick. Flashcards adds the active recall and spacing that move knowledge into long-term memory, without sending learners off to a separate study tool.

What is Flashcards?

flashcards

Flashcards lets you attach a deck of question-and-answer cards to a course. Learners flip through them inside Teachfloor, and the app schedules each card based on how well they remember it, so study time goes where it is needed most.

AI-generated decks from your course content

flashcards settings

Stop staring at a blank card editor. One click on "Generate with AI" turns the content you have already written into a batch of ready-to-review cards. You keep full control to edit, reorder, or remove any card before it reaches learners.

Spaced repetition that adapts to each learner

Every card has its own due date. Get it right and the next review slides forward, from 1 day to 3, 7, and 14. Get it wrong and it bounces back to today. Each learner's deck adapts to what they personally find hard.

A polished card experience, right in the drawer

Cards use a playing-card-style portrait layout with a smooth 3D flip and accent palettes that match your academy's brand. Learners review without ever leaving the lesson they are working on.

Settings you control

Flashcards adapts to how your program runs, with controls for AI generation, review behavior, and the look of the cards.

AI generation. Choose how many cards each Generate with AI click produces, from 3 to 20, or turn AI generation off entirely so instructors build decks by hand.

Review behavior. Set the order cards surface in a session, cap how many due cards a learner sees per session (from 1 to 200) to prevent marathon sessions and keep recall consistent, and optionally show each learner their lifetime accuracy before they start.

Visual. Pick the accent palette for the card label pills, and choose the card shape: portrait like a playing card, or landscape and square to fit longer or wider content like code and equations.

Why it matters

Flashcards is ideal for certification prep, language learning, compliance refreshers, and any course where retention matters. It turns passive reading into deliberate practice and gives learners a reason to come back day after day.
