Visibility Scheduling: Reveal or Hide Activities

Visibility Scheduling: Reveal or Hide Activities

We're happy to announce the expansion of our Visibility Options feature, offering instructors even more granular control over course content within Teachfloor

Previously, instructors could control the visibility of activities and lessons based on tags, user types, or manual students selection.  Now, we're introducing two powerful new options designed to schedule content visibility:

  • Reveals At:  Schedule the exact date and time when specific activities or lessons will be unlocked for students.
  • Hides At:  Set a date and time to automatically hide activities or lessons from students.

Unlock a World of Scheduling Possibilities

These new scheduling options empower instructors to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences. Here are some powerful ways to leverage them:

  • Introduce content in a sequential order, ensuring students grasp foundational concepts before progressing to more advanced topics.
  • Create a sense of urgency by setting deadlines for activities or hiding content after designated periods, promoting time management skills.
  • Promote anticipation and excitement by strategically revealing content throughout the course, keeping students engaged.

Combined Power: Visibility Options and Existing Controls

The beauty of these new features lies in their seamless integration with existing Teachfloor visibility options. Instructors can use them in conjunction with:

  • Tag-Based Access: Assign specific tags to students and control content visibility for targeted learning groups.
  • User Type Customization: Differentiate content accessibility based on user types (e.g., instructors, teaching assistants, students).
  • Manual Control: Maintain complete control by hand-picking which users can access specific content.

We encourage you to explore the potential of these expanded Visibility Options and discover how they can transform your Teachfloor courses!
