Google Contacts, the address book built into Gmail, lets you keep track of all your contacts, see when you last interacted with them, and more.

Google Contacts is a free contact management tool that integrates seamlessly with Gmail and the broader Google ecosystem. By connecting Teachfloor with Google Contacts through Zapier, educators can automatically maintain an up-to-date contact list of all their students, making communication and organization effortless.
This integration is ideal for course creators who rely on Google Workspace for their daily operations. Having all student contact information automatically synced to Google Contacts means you can easily find, email, or organize your learners without manual data entry.
When the New Participant trigger fires in Teachfloor, Zapier creates a new contact in Google Contacts with the student details. This builds an always-current address book of your learners, making it simple to reach out via Gmail, schedule meetings, or organize contacts into groups for different courses.
When Course Completed triggers on Teachfloor, Zapier updates the corresponding Google Contact with a note about the completed course. This gives you a quick reference of each student achievements directly in your contacts, useful for personalizing future communications or recommendations.
When the Tag Assigned trigger fires on Teachfloor, Zapier adds the participant to a specific Google Contacts label or group. This lets you segment your student contacts by skill level, course topic, or engagement status, making it easy to send targeted emails or find specific groups of learners.
Zapier can be configured to search for existing contacts before creating new ones. Using a search step, you can update existing contacts instead of creating duplicates when a student enrolls in additional courses.
When the Course Access Revoked trigger fires on Teachfloor, Zapier can update or remove the contact from a specific Google Contacts group. This keeps your contact lists accurate and reflective of current active students.
This integration sends data from Teachfloor to Google Contacts. It does not sync changes made in Google Contacts back to Teachfloor. Each platform maintains its own records independently.
