  • Don't worry about the outcome. Focus on improving your process and getting better at what you're doing instead of comparing yourself to others or worrying about how well you're doing it.
  • Ask for feedback from people who will be honest with you! This is crucial—you can't grow without feedback from someone else who knows more than you do about this subject matter. And don't just ask them once: ask them again when you've completed some tasks or milestones on your own so that they can see how far along (or not) your progress has been since they last saw what was going on.

Tell yourself exactly what needs doing as though someone else is telling it—in fact, pretend someone else is reading over your shoulder while you write: "I will [goal]." This keeps things concrete and ensures nothing gets lost in translation between ideas floating around in our heads versus what we put onto paper (or screen). It also helps us keep track of our progress without relying solely on memory alone––which isn't very reliable!

Find a rhythm that works for you

Next, you need to find a rhythm that works for you. This process can be as simple as setting aside time during the week and then going through each exercise in the order your coach has outlined. Or it's more comfortable to do one or two exercises at a time, in between other things that are going on in your life. The key is to find a routine that feels right for you and stick with it!

Once you've found where your comfort zone lies when working through exercises, consider how much time will be required for each exercise before starting them so that there aren't any surprises down the line.

Lean on your Virtual Coach

As a virtual coach, one of my primary responsibilities is to help you reach your goals. To do that, we need to set up regular check-ins and be honest about what's working and what isn't. If you've got a problem—whether struggling to keep up with your schedule or getting stuck in a rut—we must talk about it. While I can't physically jump into the room with you (yet), I'm here for you every step of the way!

To make sure our relationship works well, there are some things I'd like for you to keep in mind:

  • Being open and honest about how things are going is an integral part of effective coaching. If something isn't working out as expected or if something goes wrong along the way, let me know so we can figure out together how best to solve it.
  • Ask for help when necessary; don't be afraid! Asking questions shows me you value my expertise and our relationship enough to want my input on future strategies. 
  • Please give feedback on how things went after each session so I know where improvements could be made next time around! Even though this might feel uncomfortable at first (after all, no one likes being told they did something wrong!). This practice shows respect for yourself and others who might benefit from seeing how their actions affect others' experience (i.e., anyone else who might use my services).
