  • Initiate Conversations: Any participant can start a conversation with another participant within the course.
  • Group Conversations: Participants can engage in group chats, allowing multiple users to communicate simultaneously.

Communication Permissions

To maintain an organized and focused learning environment, the Group Chat functionality includes specific communication permissions based on user roles:

  • Admins: Can chat with any learners, instructors, or assistants within the course.
  • Learners: Can chat only with other learners of the same course or with instructors.
  • Instructors: Can chat only with learners of the same course.
  • Assistants: Can chat only with the learners assigned to them.

How to Use the Group Chat Functionality

  1. Access the Chat Feature: Click to the chat icon in the header interface
  2. Initiate a Chat: Select a participant or a group to start a conversation.
  3. Engage in Group Conversations: Add multiple participants to create a group chat for collaborative discussions.
